A long, unusual path brought me to this moment as a counseling intern. Perhaps now is when our paths will cross.

Once upon a time, I was a veterinary surgeon. It was an meaningful career that at first inspired me and then exhausted me. I walked away from the exhaustion and chose to follow life’s pull toward healing and self-discovery, toward a Masters in Jungian and Archetypal Psychology, and now the near-completion of a Masters in Mental Health Counseling.

This next chapter of my life is about supporting the healing of others. Maybe that includes you.

you are not alone

  • Sometimes we wake up and realize we are lost inside a life or job that was once our dream.

  • Sometimes we witness the trauma of another, and in doing so become traumatized ourselves.

    VICARIOUS TRAUMA

  • Sometimes we must override our integrity and what feels right in our heart to make a hard choice or fulfil our professional duty.

    MORAL INJURY

  • Sometimes we feel so deeply for others that our own pain pathways are activated, wearing us to the bone.

    EMPATHIC DISTRESS

  • Sometimes we are asked to give so much to one thing that we fail to see the consequences rippling across our life.

My Approach

Exploring Lived Experience

I offer you real, unhurried connection and a space where you can feel genuinely seen.

The pursuit of my Masters in Mental Health Counseling has enabled me to shape an approach that blends Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

Dream Work & The Imaginal

Our dreams may feel untamed, but in truth they can anchor us when life is in turmoil.

My Masters in Jungian and Archetypal Psychology and subsequent dream work with clients have enabled me to integrate Depth Psychology and the imaginal experience of dreams into my counseling, opening clients to seeing wisdom they already hold.

How We Begin

Healing Moments Counseling Internship

Healing Moments Counseling offers online couples and individual sessions, with an invitation to explore how distress influences our relationships and sexual intimacy. We will venture into such topics if you request it.

As a counseling intern, I work under the supervision of Dr. Celeste McClannahan, who can be reached at celeste@healingmomentscounseling.net. However, our sessions together include just you and me.
